As well as having the privilege of painting 3 of the large GoGoDragons for local charity Break, I am also one of the artists visiting schools in the area helping pupils design and create their own miniature dragon. I had the pleasure of visiting Firside Junior School in Hellesdon this week to work with the ‘gifted and talented’ pupils in creating a back story to their dragon as well as working out how best to decorate it. As part of the day I took a number of different fossils with me and asked the children to imagine they were a from the past and had found the fossil thinking it to be part of the remains of a long dead dragon. What were they looking at, horns, teeth, spikes, a skull? Thank you to staff and pupils, and I look forward to seeing the final finished design!
