The “Dancing Devils of Yare” (Diablos Danzantes del Yare) perform in the streets of Venezuela each year as part of the Corpus Christi festivities. Bar Tapas on Exchange Street in Norwich commissioned me to create them this giant Yare mask to adorn the entrance way to the bar and restaurant. Initially sculpted in clay before being moulded and cast in fibreglass, it should add a vibrant new look to one of the city’s busiest streets.
